If I Was An Explorer...

If I was an explorer, I would explore Africa. I would look for fossils of dinosaurs. I would take Kris Everard with me. Kris is my best friend in Canada. First we would explore Libya. We would look for fossils there. We would get there by helicopter. Then we would go to the Nile. At the Nile we would camp out. We would eat seafood in Cairo. Then I would go to the pyramids. At the Nile I would go swimming with Kris, but we'd watch out for crocodiles! Then we would travel southeast to the Rift Valley to see the cracks in the land. We would find lots of fish for food. Then I would save a herd of white rhinos. Then we'd look for jurassic fossils. It would be my very very first expedition in my whole life.

If I was an explorer... I would go to the GOBI DESERT and explore. I would go by myself. I would take 8 bottles of water, a sleeping bag, a container of sandwiches, some biscuits, 2 packets of chocolate, and I would bring nothing else. I would go by plane to the Gobi Desert, then I would travel by camel. I think it will be hot during the day, but at night it would be cold. I want to go to the Gobi desert because I want to find something ancient. I would travel by camel about 2 hours until the camel hit something. I would get off the camel immediately. I imagine finding a Silver hand. After that I would go back on the camel to some special huts. I would go inside the special huts. I would ask the desert people for a bed to sleep in. They would give me one task to do first-hold your breath for one minute. I imagine that I held my breath for one minute. After we became friends, they would give me an ancient Golden hand. Then I would tell them that I found a Silver hand. What does it do? "If you put your fingers inside the Silver hand, it will transport you to where you live. But if you put your fingers in the Golden hand, it would transport you back here." I imagine myself putting my fingers in the silver hand. I would go back home and tell my family what had happened. They would want to hear the story over and over.

If I was an explorer, I would go to explore the Ross Ice-Shelf in Antarctica. I would go with my friends Soli and Simone. In Antarctica I would like to find Robert Scott's real diary buried and hidden in the snow. We would come to Antarctica on a ship and when we get there we would use big, big skis. I'd take with me lots of food and pans, tents, a compass, warm clothes and a pair of extra gloves. When I reach the edge of the Ross Ice shelf I would like to find skeletons of animals and people that had died. I would see seals, penguins, and birds. There would be mountains covered in snow, icebergs, and ocean around us . We would have a great adventure.

If I was an Explorer... I would want my Mum & Dad and Andrew to come with me. We would like to explore space. We would want to explore in an another galaxy. We would need a spaceship to go there and lots of food and water. And we don't want to die, so we would need a strong space ship. I would want a McDonalds in my ship and a beer stand for my Mum & Dad. I would like an indoor roller coaster for Andrew & me. When we get to a planet we would need some rocket boosters to look around. We would need a gun if there are Aliens, and we would want some back up. But I hope that there are no Aliens. We would want some strong space suits. I hope to discover a new planet and call it "Color Planet" and I want it to look rainbow colored. You could drive around in dogem cars there. Then we would go back home on the space ship. But on the way home Andrew would jump out of the ship thinking it was the toilet. I would laugh. Everyone else would be sad but I wouldn't. I would actually be happy.

If I was an explorer, I would want to go to the Amazon. I would go by myself. I would take some food, water, bug spray, a jacket, a radio, a whip and a knife. I would get there by taking a boat up the Amazon river. I would sleep in my boat. When I get to a village, I would stop. I would see a tribe. They would tell me that the anaconda is biggest snake and it lives here. Also the anaconda can eat a crocodile! But can the anaconda eat a human? The second biggest river in the world is the Amazon. I would like to see an endangered bug. Scorpions can be there too. I would be careful for piranha. I might accidentally slip off the boat! An anaconda might be in the water too, so I would be careful for them. But if an anaconda went after me, the tribe would fire their spears and hit it! I would have a great adventure.

If I was an explorer... I would go to the North Pole. I would take 3 heavy jackets, 9 boxes of food, 8 boxes of cider, and a miniature oven to cook. I would also bring my Mom and Dad, big boots, a hat and 4 boxes of jeans. We will each get a sled and they will have motors. My family and I will all get a machine gun in case of danger, like a polar bear! I think the journey will be very hard and very cold. We might run into another explorer trying to race to the North Pole. We have to be very careful for crevasses. We will be really careful for Arctic foxes. Finally after a lot of days we will make it. We we will be the first people to the North Pole! We will win the race.

If I was an explorer...I would go explore a very cold country-Chile!! I would go south in a biplane. Then I would go on a five day horse back trip, looking for endangered animals, with no guide. I would go with my best friend, Leila Bell. I would bring a camera, a map, a flashlight, a tent, a sleeping bag, lots of food, a brush, a pillow, clothes and water bottles. I would also bring my Black Lab dog. I would pack all my stuff on the back of my horse, but I would carry my backpack too. I would also bring a first aid kit. Hopefully I would find hurt or endangered animals like foxes, rabbits, and birds. When I find the hurt or endangered animals, if the cut is bad, I would bring them to the animal shelter. I would need to get the animals to the animal shelter quickly, or they would die. So I would gallop on my horse. If the cut is not bad, I would fix it myself. On our trek we will ride up into the mountains, across rivers, and around lakes. We would eat wild strawberries in wild strawberry fields. And for Leila Bell and I it would be the best exploration we ever had.

If I was an explorer I would go to the Australian rain forest.
I would take my Mum, Dad, Gabriella, and Daniel. We would wear hats, a lot of bug spray, and bring binoculars and our very big magnifying glass. We would fly from northern New Zealand on an airplane to the northeastern coastline of the Australian rain forest. When we get there, we will see the Bird of Paradise, a blue and white butterfly, and a red and white ladybug. Also we will find a temple. We will go inside and find lots of diamonds and rubies! Oh no ! avalanche- run away ! Maybe we will go home now.

If I was an explorer...I would go to Antarctica and race to the South Pole. I will get to Antarctica by ship with my team. I will bring 11 people, sleds, food, a tent, warm clothes and sleeping bags. I will get a big tent to fit in the dogs so I don't have to leave the dogs outside, because if I do they will freeze up and die. I will fix food on a stove with batteries that can last for five years. We will get to the pole by walking and with help from the dogs. We will find storms, Robert Scott's base and a crevasse. The dangers I will face are a storm and a blizzard that are very bad. When I get there I will travel back to my base. And if I die, I will write a quote so people can read it when they search for my team.
